Privacy policy

Hermes Anywhere is made by Distyll (Morgan Atkins, United Kingdom). It's a client for a Hermes Agent instance that you choose. This policy explains what the app does with your data.
The short version
We don't run a server for this app and don't collect your data. There are no ads, analytics or tracking. Your messages go to the Hermes instance you connect to, which is controlled by you or whoever runs it.
Data sent to your Hermes instance
- Address and sign-in. Used to sign in to your instance. Your credentials and tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain.
- Prompts, replies, attachments, scans and tool requests. Sent to your instance and processed by the model and tool providers it is configured to use, under their terms.
- Notification token. If you turn on notifications and your server supports them, your device's push token and an installation identifier are sent to your instance so it can route status notifications. Notification previews contain task status, not your messages.
- Feedback. If you send feedback, your comment and optional screenshot are sent to your instance's feedback endpoint.
Data kept on your device
- Drafts, your recently opened conversation and saved responses are kept in protected storage on your device, per account.
- Content shared into the app waits in a protected inbox on your device until you import or remove it. Nothing is sent automatically from the share sheet.
Apple services
- Dictation uses Apple's speech recognition, which may send audio to Apple.
- Purchases are processed by Apple. We receive no payment details.
- TestFlight beta feedback and diagnostics are handled under TestFlight's terms.
Deleting your data
Sign out or switch connection in My Hermes, or delete the app to remove its local data. Data on your Hermes instance is controlled by whoever runs it.
